Updating an Excel Spreadsheet Options

Hello,
Here is what I would like to do (if possible): Have your scheduler open an excel spreadsheet, update line one with the opc data, save and close. Open the same spreadsheet an hour later and read the same opc items and put the new data on line two, leaving the original data on line one and continue this. The reason is that I want to continiously update a spreadsheet (once per hour) without having it open all the time, so that it is not shutdown by someone using the machine that it is running on.
